I suppose that depends on who the advisor is and what the topic really is.

Totally agree about the ease factor. However if the thesis is meant for SIP study, it would not serve the purpose

For a thesis, servelets would be infinitely easier, as you can leverage all of your HTTP servelet knowledge.

Hello! I would like to programm it with my own requirements. As far as I know, JAIN SIP makes it possible because it binds you to build the frames as you want (That's what I read). But also Servlets are easier to write

I would like to make a bachelor thesis with SIP... The problem is that I have very low knowledge of SIP, only the basic concepts, but enough to understand how to make an app.

Where should I start first? I'm sure that before programming my own SIP network I should get used to it somewhere else...

	Thanx very much :)

		Hi Juan - k

I don't know much about the SIP but as I know the JAIN API will allow you to start from very row level for example you can handle the SDP as well. And in case of Servlets, here the functional interface is higher level than JAIN one.

		so, the decision is yours..

		Thank u

		Hello 2 everyone =)

I would like to know which would be the best implementation for SIP with Java. I've searched but I would like that someone recommended any that has worked. Is it better to use JAIN SIP or Servlets?

I would like to write an application in Java that would transmit voice within a LAN using SIP

		Thanks

		Juan-k
