Hi Jimmy,
as per standard, the from header would be displayed ("desired public
identity" according to TR), in some cases only the addr-spec, in other
cases also the display name.
In case there is a P-Asserted-Identity available (implying that the
SIP-Phone would be considered part of the trust domain), many vendors
display it instead of the "from", a few let you configure which one has
preference.
So, there are differences.
Regards,
Roland

[SIPForum-discussion] PBX nr-presentation

Hi!

I have a question about number presentation when doing SIP-trunking
according to SIP-connect.

What field/fields from the SIP-header of the incoming INVITE should be
displayed as the calling number/sip-user in the sip-phone?
Has anyone experienced differences in what field the PBXes use or is it
more or less the same?

Regards
