Hi,

 

I have doubt with the contact header

 

Contact: <sip:bob at client.biloxi.example.com;transport=tcp>

 

Is the above header valid ? if so it does not match with the ABNF provided
for the Header in which it clearly mentions

 

Contact= ( "Contact" / "m" ) HCOLON
( STAR / (contact-param *(COMMA contact-param))) 



contact-param= (name-addr / addr-spec) *( SEMI contact-params)

 

where name-addr begin with "<" and ends with ">" in which case the
"transport=tcp would always be outside the angled quotes("<>")

 

and in the other case of it being a simple addr-spec then there is no
mention of the angle quotes ("<>") in the ABNF?

 

PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS..
