[SIPForum-discussion] Reg VIA field

Hi,

 

I am monitoring packets continuously from last 1 week and I have found no
VIA in all 183 message header.

 

That's the only reason even I am confused bcoz the VIS is a mandatory header

RFC 3261 says 

 

"When the UAC creates a request, it MUST insert a Via into that request"
 

As per this I infer,VIA is mandatory header in SIP message.You may need to
debug as in why the end which you are monitoring is not filling VIA header.
