Hi Amit,

In very broad terms, PRACK is used in ensuring reliability for Provisional
responses( 100, 180).The fact that provisional responses transported over
UDP don’t guarantee reliability brings PRACK into picture. 


Check the RFC for protocol level details. Also go through some Early media
applications to get a better understanding.
