Shakthi,
RFC 3261
12.2.1 UAC Behavior
Requests within a dialog MUST contain strictly monotonically
increasing and contiguous CSeq sequence numbers (increasing-by-one) in
each direction (excepting ACK and CANCEL of course, whose numbers equal
the requests being acknowledged
or cancelled).
For B (remote Cseq is 1 & local CSeq is not initialized) Bye
the Cseq is also correct. Before initiating a request B insert a Cseq
number by initializing local CSeq. The valid value is between (1 - 2
**31(2power 31)) and 2 is valid value.
Thanks & Regards

According to the following scenario, what should be the integer value
for the C-seq in BYE request ?
Is the C-seq value for the BYE request is correct?
A Proxy B
INVITE ----------> C-seq: 1 INVITE
180 <-------------- C-seq: 1 INVITE
200 ok <--------- C-seq: 1 INVITE
ACK -------------> C-seq: 1 ACK
BYE <------------ C-seq: 2 BYE
200 ok ----------> C-seq: 2 BYE
why the c-seq value is again " 1", for ACK?
ACK is also an method. So, plz tell me whether C-seq value should be
"1" or "2" for ACK Method? and why?
Thanks,
- Shakthi
