Hi Amit,
Conferencing can be achieve by mixing RTP streams either through DSPs
(hardware) or software. Conference servers are usually standalone
software application or supported by gateways. For example, you have a
conference server installed & configured at extension 1000. People call
into extension 1000, the conference server connect these people and mix
all audio stream in real-time together and sent the mixed audio streams
back to all SIP endpoints. Depending on the specifications of the
conference server, there are things to lookout for like supported codec,
maximum extensions per conference session & maximum conference sessions
supported. I hope this explains...
