Hello,
Thanks for your answers
I first receive a 100 status message and then and 183 Session progress.
The 183 status message has of course another Contact field. Contact:
<sip:CALLED_PHONE_NUMBER at 194.0.210.139>
The IP 194.0.210.139 is of course not the same as where I send my INVITE
request since I send them to a SIP proxy.
After this I start sending RTP packets to 194.0.210.139
Regards,
Fredrik Sandedal, Enera

Hello Fredrik,
what is the response to this invite?
I think that the IP in the "Contact" field is used to send the message,
is it?
Regards,
Andrea

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] From field in SIP header
Hello,
I have a question regarding the "From" field in the SIP header.
I send an INVITE request from within our LAN and through a SIP
supporting firewall to a SIP termination service.
The firewall changes IP-address of the "Contact" field from 192.168.1.33
to the firewall's WAN IP but the "From" field still has the LAN
IP-address.
LAN
From: <sip:02073367100 at 192.168.1.33:5060>;tag=....
Contact: <sip:02073367100 at 192.168.1.33:5060>
WAN (after passing firewall)
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 88.131....:5060;branch=...
From: <sip:02073367100 at 192.168.1.33:5060>;tag=....
Contact: <sip:02073367100 at 88.131....:5060>
Is this a correct behavior? The reason I'm asking is because I do not
receive any RTP traffic from the SIP termination service.
Kind regards,
Fredrik Sandedal, Enera
