There are two RED payloads.
 
text/red is defined in RFC 4102 and described in RFC 4103. It increases
reliability of real-time text transmission for text communication with good
live flow as it is typed.
Sent text is repeated twice in packets coming after, usually together with
new text, so that packets can be lost without loss of text. 
 
audio/red is defined in RFC 2198. It increases reliability of audio.
