Hi Gokul,

A node in a SIP signaling path can add a Via header with its own address 
in order to let the subsequent nodes know that which path the return 
message may traverse. So it's one's own address and not the address of 
say, the next hop.

how to add Via header field in the excisting INVITE request ????
 
                   SIP - 1
                       |
                       |
                   SIP - 2 Server 
 
1. SIP 1 sends the INVITE with some via header
2. I need to update the SIP 2 server address in the via field.
How 2 achieve this?????
I m using the JainSip 
(Java/J2ee)
as my SIP protocol stack..._______________________________________________
