Hi Balaji,

 

       It is based on the Switch used.If terminating switch is capable of
playing ann ..it can play the ann.!! 

 

If not  as per Halit told it will report to IN platform which will inturn
use media server to play the annc

In your scenario, PSTN IN platform will have to play the announcement.

As fas as I know;
basicly,
 
IMS -404->PSTN with Release Cause---------------------->IN platform
PSTN<-media server<-play order with announcement_id<----IN platform

Hi All,

 

I've one query....

 

When PSTN user makes a call to IMS (unknown user), who is going to play the
announcement (saying wrong number/user) is it terminating switch (IMS) or
originating switch (PSTN switch)?

 

If it's PSTN, IMS will respond with 404-NON_FOUND and based on the response
PSTN will play with announcement

 

If it's IMS, how and what would be the logic?
