A newly introduced "a=crypto" attribute of SDP, is used to negotiate on
the encryption process of RTP/SAVP transport. Please refer to RFC4568
for details.

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Encryption of media stream

Hi all

How does SIP provide encryption for the RTP/RTCP media stream? There is
a k= option in SDP, but it says (even in the IETF docs) that its not a
great option and its not to be used. How can two parties agree upon an
encryption method and key?

Same question for H.323, but I guess it's not the right place here.

Thnx in advance

Rudie
