[SIPForum-discussion] Realm string/parameter in 401 authentication challenge

Hi Guys,

Please advice what is the purpose of realm string/parameter in 401 
authentication challenge from SIP proxy. Setting the wrong realm 
parameter at pre-configured login credentials can cause UAs to fail 
authentication even when the username/pw is correct.

I'll like to clarify if SIP domain and realm settings actually refers to 
the same thing. Thanks!
