There could be some limitation for UDP, but it maybe
various.
I'd suggest you don't rely on an sigle value of byte
limitation.
 
If UDP fails, try TCP again.

hi,
sorry, i should be more specific. 
i am trying send a large mount of bytes from a
SipServlet to J2me Midlet, and i find out that just a
small part of the bytes were received, about 1000 bytes.

It depends on the transport you want to use.
If by TCP, I don't think it will have specific
limitation.

for SIP, how much is the largest size of the payload?
is 987 bytes??
