[SIPForum-discussion] DTMF related sequences

Hello Andrew, Halit, All,
consider a real network where a SIP phone is newly in place.
There will be traditional Interactive systems systems like Phone banking,
Traditional voice mail servers,...
(Voice mail server not yet supporting RFC3265 - MWI will not work for SIP
subscrs) which rely on in-band DTMF recognition for connecting the call
actually (entering customer id, PIN and all ) although call is connected
from service provider point of view.

Can you please let me know what emerging service providers like both in-band
DTMF ( via some RTP standards
to make DTMF transmissions in IP reliable?? )
and out of band DTMF by SIP info method both to be available or just are
satisfied with SIP INFO method??

I do not have a real network existing with SIP phone service providers.
Can you please provide a view from end-user and service provider
perspective.
