I think u need a TURN server for RTP data on symmetric NAT's.
I am also new to SIP so my knowlendge is somewhat restricted.

Thank you surabh. But my problem is I'm able to establish the session with the proxy using SIP. I'm behind Symmetric NAT. I'm testing my application (VoIP) within my LAN (but using Internet and SIP REGISTER/INVITE. But i'm not able to send/receive RTP packets. For that, what I've to do? I read that if you are behind symmetric NAT you can't receive RTP packets if you use STUN. Is it correct? Please provide me the solution.

  Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I guess whenever you will send a message through the NAT it will automatically create the
pinhole in the NAT ,now it is the functionality of NAT to receive incoming packets on that
pinhole and send to you .

Thanks
Saurabh
