Well 3761 has been around for a while and UA's should be updated to 
reflect the change.

The judgment of the ENUM WG ( which I co-chair ) was the reversal was 
more in line with classic URI syntax and its was clear that there was 
going to be many Enumservice fields that were going to have longer and 
more complex expressions such as  E2U+mms:smtp etc using service type 
and subtype expressions.

The IANA registry for Enumservices is growing by the day.
