[SIPForum-discussion] FAX through PAP2

Hi all,

I'm trying to pass fax through my IP line (pap2 with firmware v3.1.7). It is configured with g729 as preferred codec. It seems like PAP2 doesn't awareness I'm passing a fax, so it keep g729 instead switch to g711u. (I have to dial *027110 to force g711, and I have to hang up when I need to send a fax to someone unexpectedly and dial *027110 before the number)
Is there some known bug? or am I setting something wrong?

 FAX CED Detect Enable: Yes
 FAX CNG Detect Enable: Yes
 FAX Passthru Codec: G711u
 FAX Codec Symmetric: Yes
 FAX Passthru Method: NSE
 FAX Process NSE: Yes
