[SIPForum-discussion] Usage of Authorization header field in SIP request

Hi List,

I am building a request and sending it across to the server through thw
places, one from my application and another from soft phone client like
XPro. From XPro I am able to register successfully but from my application I
am not. At both the places I am sending the same request in response to an
earlier REGISTER request.

The below is the log taken from XPro. I have tried sending the same set of
requests from our application, based on the response to our REGISTER
request, but was not able to register.

What is the significance of Authorization User field in XPro? Is it
mandatory to send it on receipt of 401 response from server?

Where the problem lies. Please help in this regards,
